Message It really depends on your goals. How much do you want to spend? It's not difficult to spend $3k on suspension components alone, so keep that in mind as once you lower your z, maintaining proper alignment requires supporting suspension mods such as adjustable control arms, etc.

From the factory, the Z comes with no front camber adjustment. This is remedied either with a 300Degree camber kit (inexpensive) or an aftermarket adjustable front upper control arm (known as FUCAs) from a vendor such as Powertrix or Z1.

From the factory, the rear camber adjustment is severely limited and is controlled by an eccentric bolt and washer setup, which was a bad design from the get go as the washers slip under load. In my opinion, it's best to replace these with the SPL eccentric lockout kit, and gain your alignment adjustments from aftermarket adjustable arms.

Lowering your car significantly requires adjustable arms to maintain proper alignment, especially in the rear. That being said, the lowest low is typically attained with a full coilover setup (most popular inexpensive versions around here are the Powertrix coilovers). You can pretty much lower the car beyond its own capacity to handle, so you can get it plenty low if you want it. However, this sacrifices ride quality over a spring/strut combo.

The 2nd popular option for better handling and lowering over stock is an aftermarket spring/strut combination. I've personally used the KYB AGX adjustable struts with the Tein S-Tech springs. I liked the setup, but it did not lower my z as much as I had hoped, so I updgraded to coilovers. There are many other combinations that members have used, such as eibach springs with a tokico strut setup.
